From the archive – 3com 3+ Share

3Com 3plus web

As part of MT Services 50th year, we are looking back through our archive at key products in the history of the business. This time, 3Com’s 3+Share Network Operating System, which MT Services used for our first Network Servers.

3+Share, commonly known as 3 Plus, was launched in the early 1980s by 3Com providing a pioneering file and print sharing platform.  3Com 3+Share competed with Novell’s NetWare server OS  throughout the 1980s.

3Com then worked with IBM to develop a successor to 3+Share, which IBM called LAN Manager which was then acquired by Microsoft in 1991.
